Background

He has a PhD diploma on the “Analysis of Wind Energy with pumped storage systems” from National Technical University of Athens (2008) and Post Doc on “Wind energy planning using mesoscale atmospheric modeling applications” in the Institute of Atmospheric Physics - Chinese Academy of Sciences (IAP-CAS).

He has been working in the National Technical University of Athens, as a researcher in the Wind Energy Laboratory of the Fluids Section (since 1997) and as Laboratory Teaching Staff (since 2007) in the School of Mechanical Engineering in NTUA.




His topics of interest are “Wind Energy” and “Renewable Energy Sources”. His research work lie in the field of renewable energy sources and more specifically in the integration of RES in autonomous Greek islands using hybrid solutions and wind energy with hydro pumped storage systems.

He has been involved in the realization of more than 15 research programmes on energy strategy and policy, RES market analysis, energy storage, design of hydro pumped storage systems, ets. He has more than 35 papers, presentations and announcements in scientific journals, conferences and workshops. He is a member of the Technical Chamber of Greece.
