On February 20th, 3 European professors Prof. Chakib Boullaou, Prof. Laurent Fulcheri and Prof. Michel Cassir visited Wuhan National Laboratory for Optoelectronics accompanied with Mr. Li Zhitian and Mrs. Xu Liyin from ICARE.
Wuhan National Laboratory for Optoelectronic (WNLO) is one of the first five national laboratories approved by Ministry of Science and Technology in November 2003. It was joint built by Ministry of Education, Hubei Province and Wuhan City and adhere to HUST At present it has established six functional laboratories in optoelectronic devices and integration, laser and terahertz technology, energy photonics, biomedical photonics, information storage and light display, photoelectric detection and radiation, and invested nearly 400 million to establish 12 scientific research platforms and a photoelectric public test platform, to carry on research and meet the need of national strategy.
With the guide of PHD student Hong Li of WNLO, professors visited relevant laboratories, listened to introduction of research on cheap printable solar cells and photoelectric devices. After the visit, Prof. Han Hongwei of WNOL enthusiastically introduced the members of the research group members and lab scientific research division, discussed the cooperation model with enterprise, cheap printable solar cells in the domestic industrial use and other issues. European professors expressed hope of further cooperation in field of scientific research.
