On March 26th -March 31st 2015, master student Xu Xinya from class 2012 went to Japan to participate in the international conference on Plasma Nanotechnology in Nagoya University, under the leadership of tutor He Zhenghao. The conference was sponsored by the Japan Society of Applied Physics, attracted a total of 26 countries and regions, 720 participants, in which 20 are Chinese.

The theme of the conference was advanced plasma science and nitrogen nano materials. Conference has been divided into four venues of plasma nano science, practical semiconductor, surface treatment, nano-materials and nano-fabrication. 2014 Physics Nobel Prize winner Hiroshi Amano published a special report. In the conference, Xu Xinya’s paper “Electrical Characterization of CZTSSe solar cells and comparison with simulated devices”and “Research on the Method of Using High Voltage and Heavy Current Pulse Discharge to Dispose Waste Tires”which she worked as the first author were read, posted, and praised.

After the conference, Xu Xinya and tutor He Zhenghao were invited to visit the Quantum Engineering Laboratory in Nagoya University had an in-depth conversation with laboratory professors and PhDs. The two sides reached an intention of cooperation in related fields.

Xu Xinya said this international conference not only allowed her to learn a lot of profession related knowledge and technology, international cutting-edge research and method, but also further enhanced international communication skills, broaden her horizons and thinking.

Going aboard to participate in international exchanges has been one of the educational characteristics of ICARE, our institute will further draw support from international background and advantages of Chinese and foreign cooperative education, provide more and better development platform for students.
