On September 6^th afternoon, class 2017 opening ceremony was held in building 5 West. Chinese Dean Pr. Huang Shuhong, European Executive Director Mr. Michel Aublant, Chinese Executive Director Mr. Yi Hui, director of Research Center Pr. Hu Song, director of Education Center Mrs. Liu Yang, and director of postgraduate student council attended the ceremony. The ceremony was conducted by a new ICARE student Mr. Feng Huayi.

　　At first, Mr. Michel Aublant expressed a warm welcome to new students. He introduced ICARE’s education system, training mode and development characteristic, pointed out the bright prospects of our graduates. Chinese dean Pr. Huang Shuhong pointed out the importance of clean and renewable energy from energy status at home and abroad, he stressed that China is facing enormous challenges about energy issue, each student of our institute should also take responsibility to change China’s energy shortage. He encouraged new students to solve problems with confidence. Chinese Executive Director Mr. Yi Hui described history of our institute, guided new students to realize the important position of our institute in new energy field. Mrs. Liu Yang from education center answered in detail about China and EU degree requirements, study abroad selection policy, scholarship resource,etc. Cai Shunkang, from education center, highlighted classroom norms, examination discipline, and independent problem-solving abilities of our students. Peng Weiwei and Gao Xiaolu on behalf of senior students respectively introduced student talent training, behavior evaluation, and wished class 2017 students will have a fruitful development.
