On the afternoon of Oct 30th, Richard Fu and Vincent Barrioz from University ofNorthumbria made a 4 hourslecture in ICARE.
It is reported that University of Northumbria is one of the UK's largest university, which locates in the center of New castle-upon-Tyne,it now ranks third in the size of British universities.
Richard FUand Vincent BARRIOZ’s research team covers solar energy,nano-materials,micro-scale materials processing and fuel cells.Dr.Richard FU introduced their work on the preparation of micro-scale materials and memoryalloy, vividly demonstrate dpractical applicationof these materials according to thei rcharacteristics. Dr. Vincent BARRIOZ briefly introduced humanistic style of University of Northumbria,made an academic report and shared experience on topic of solar cells.
Richard FU and Vincent BARRIOZ expressed welcome toshort-term exchange and further study of ICARE students and looking forward to the following cooperation. This lecture was a direct bridge between University of Northumbria and ICARE, gave our studentsa better understanding of China-EU cooperation projects and internshipsin overseas university.
