On September 26th, ICARE welcomed a senior delegation of China Science and Technology Exchange Center (CSTEC) which was headed by Mr. XING Jijun, Deputy Director -General of CSTEC. The delegation held a conference entitled “Horizon 2020 INFODAY” to introduce the EU-Framework programme “Horizon 2020”.

　　Firstly, Mr. Xing Jijun, deputy director of CSTEC addressed a keynote speech that China and EU maintained a deep relationship on science and technology cooperation. He expected the information session could provide effective scientific research information and opportunities for the teachers and students of HUST.

　　Then, Mr. DONG Keqin, Director of European Affairs in CSTEC gave out a speech about the general situation of China-EU Science &Technology Cooperation & and Chinese Participation to European Framework Programme. The third speaker, Ms. Alexandra Lehmann, technology suite of Delegation of the EU to China, gave the audience specific introduction about the “Horizon 2020”. In the end, Ms. Andrea STŘELCOVÁ, Country Representative of EURAXESS Links China shared the information about Euraxess Links China, which is a multidisciplinary network for European or Chinese researchers at all stages of their careers. She welcomed Chinese researchers to join in the international network to get updated information about EU funding projects, jobs opportunities and etc.

　　Ms. Xu Hanmei, deputy director of Foreign Cooperation of Science & Technology from Science and Technology Department of Hubei Province, and Mr. XIA Song, Deputy Dean of Research and Development Office of HUST also attended the Info session.
