From the beginning of 2020, an epidemic has swept the world which has stop people all over the world from their normal lives. In this special period, in order to ensure the health of teachers and students while allow all students to enjoy high-quality education at ICARE, the Cloud Classroom officially opened on Monday after a month of intense communication and organization.
The online teaching was initiated by Prof. Luo Xiaobing, the Chinese Dean of the ICARE, and successfully launched with the contribution of Mr. Yi Hui, the Deputy Dean. Ms. Liu Yang, the Director of the Education Center, and Ms. Tan Yaling, the Assistant to the Director of the Education Center. Meanwhile, the online teaching was completed under the coordination of Prof. Alain Thorel, the European Project Coordinator, Prof. Michel Farine, the European Dean and Ms. Ji Shali, the European Dean Assistant. In order to effectively achieve "Suspend classes without stopping Learning" and "stop classes without degrading quality", Ms. Liu Yang and Ms. Tan Yaling actively prepared the online teaching according to the actual needs of the students. They made detailed preparations, including courseware, class, homework assignment and correction, Q&A, and teaching feedback. A clear online teaching plan provides comprehensive guideline for teachers and students to gradually adapt to the online teaching.

Ms. Liu Yang and Ms. Tan Yaling actively use various internet platforms and resources to give full play to the educational advantages of Chinese and foreign teachers, and continue to explore platforms suitable for Chinese and European teaching. At present, the main platforms for online teaching in our school are Rain Classroom, Super-star and Zoom. Rain Classroom is mainly used to upload PPT and other courseware. Teachers can also give real-time lectures and conduct Q&A discussion via Zoom. Super-star is mainly used to upload lecture video recorded by the teachers.
This semester has eight professional core courses and 29 teachers (24 foreign teachers + 5 Chinese teachers) come from nine universities in six countries. The foreign teachers are from France, Greece, Spain, Italy, United Kingdom.
