Recently, Ms. XIAO Run, a graduate student of ICARE, published a paper entitled “Localizing concentrated electrolyte in pore geometry for highly reversible aqueous Zn metal batteries” on Chemical Engineering Journal (IF 10.652). She has been awarded the excellent volunteer during the epidemic, outstanding graduate cadres, outstanding communist Youth League cadres and Zhixing scholarship. She once served as vice chairman of the Graduate Association of ICARE, director of the outreach Department of the Association of Global Governance and Sustainable Development, and monitor of class 1801. She received an internship offer from the headquarters of the United Nations Industrial Development Organization in Vienna, Austria. Her main research field is zinc metal battery in aqueous system. 3 SCI papers have been published (1 as the first author) so far.

"The life of graduate study should not be only about learning. I want to make it more interesting." This is the original intention of Ms. XIAO Run when she joined ICARE. With this idea, even under the pressure of a heavy curriculum and scientific research, she held several positions at that time, such as the vice chairman of the Graduate Association of ICARE, the director of the outreach Department of the Association of Global Governance and Sustainable Development, and the monitor of class 1801.
-About international experience
If you ask Ms. XIAO Run what’s the most memorable experience of her school life, she will answer without hesitation,” It must be the HUST-Oxford summer camp.”
As the general coordinator of HUST-Oxford summer camp, Ms. XIAO Run not only needed to cooperate with teachers to tackle the problems of Oxford students in life, such as the use of campus cards, various subsidies, etc., but also needed to plan and arrange numerous activities during the two months of the camp. Before the event officially started, she wrote a plan for the whole summer camp, from the opening ceremony to the closing ceremony.
"The HUST-Oxford summer camp lasted for about two months. I have never organized such a big event. I was really nervous and afraid at first, but I knew that I must try my best."

In 2021, under the guidance of Professor SUN Yongming from Wuhan National Laboratory for Optoelectronics, Ms. XIAO Run published the paper named “Localizing concentrated electrolyte in pore geometry for highly reversible aqueous Zn metal batteries” (link: https://authors.elsevier.com/sd/art icle/S1385-8947(21)01228-6）as the first author.
"I believe that I can learn more from doing experiments." In order to grasp her research knowledge faster, in addition to extensive reading. Xiao run also spent a lot of time in labs, even including the weekends.
