Officials from French Consulate General in Wuhan Visited our Institute

  On the morning of September 18th 2015, Higher education cooperation Attaché Eric MOLAY, new science and technology Attaché Philiippe MAURIN and his assistant from French consulate general in Wuhan with Sino-French Wuhan Ecological Demonstration City Technical Adviser Rémi CURIEN visited our institute. Zhang Liqing from International Exchange Center, ICARE Chinese dean Huang Shuhong, European dean Michel FARINE and ICARE project coordinator Didier MAYER warmly welcomed our guests.

  First of all, Chinese dean Huang Shuhong expressed a warm welcome to the guests and gratitude to the long-term support from French consulate general. European dean Michel Farine introduced our status, development situation, our multiple exchange with ParisTech and other partner universities. He stressed the outcomes of teachers and students’ exchange, cooperative education, master program and new energy training with European partners. Project coordinator Didier MAYER discussed the further cooperation from perspective of sustainable development. He pointed out that ICARE is perfect in the role of an international platform to facilitate exchanges of new technology and new energy between China and Europe.

  Mr. Eric Molay expressed his very positive view on ICARE Institute and the crucial importance of educating new energy talents with an international profile in a city of ancient Sino-French cooperation as Wuhan. He promised to give us full support to develop more university cooperation with France. Science and Technology Attaché Mr. Philippe Maurin said that, as his predecessor, Marc Bondiou, he will continue to support ICARE research projects and scientific speakers. Mr. Remi Curien, from the Sino-French expert committee of Caidian, introduced cooperation between Chinese and French companies and governmental organizations to set up Caidian eco-city and provided an update on the advancement of the project. He stressed that such a project will need and welcome ICARE students and expertise resources.
