On March 13, Mr. Philippe MARTINET, French Consul General in Wuhan paid his first visit to ICARE institute, along with the attaché for science and technology, Mr. Marc BOUDIOU. The two guests were warmly welcomed by Mr. HE Gang, deputy director of International office in HUST, Prof. HUANG Shuhong, ICARE Chinese Dean and Prof. Michel FARINE, ICARE European Dean, and other ICARE staffs.

Prof. M. Farine presentation of ICARE activities was followed an open and intense discussion during which Mr. MARTINET, who, from a previous position, has a deep knowledge on climate change and renewable energy, showed his interest about the carbon emission problem faced by China and the way it will be handle. He also asked details on the research and project in HUST looking at solution for that issue. In the future, the French Consulate in Wuhan will keep on supporting ICARE to strengthen the scientific relationship between China and France.
