On October 17th, ICARE welcomed a senior delegation of the French automobile manufacturer PSA Peugeot Citroen. Headed by Dr. Sylvain ALLANO, scientific and technology for the future director, and composed of Mr. Jean-Marc FINOT, Director of the Advanced Engineering and Innovation, Mr. Antoine MULLENDER, Manager of Innovation strategy scouting & Customer value, and Mr. David ALLARD, R&D Department Technical in Shanghai, the delegation had a meeting with ICARE team and three HUST professors, namely Prof. ZHANG Wuxing from College of Material Science and Engineering, Prof. LIU Zhaohui from State Key Laboratory of Coal Combustion and Prof. LI Dinggen from School of Energy and Power Engineering.

A brief welcome was given by Prof. HUANG Shuhong, ICARE Chinese Dean, followed by a presentation of ICARE and China energy pattern by Mr. Michel Aublant, ICARE European Executive Director. On PSA side, Dr. ALLANO explained, that, to comply with the low carbon emission policy set by the European Union, PSA draws a future road map to develop fuel-efficient cars with low carbon emission in Europe and set an overview on the development of hybrid cars and diesel cars. Last but not least, the two sides discussed the new energy vehicles with low carbon emission and the possibility to develop cooperation.
