The University of Nottingham had PhD promotion in ICARE

On Nov. 13th morning, Prof. YANG Xiaogang, deputy director of International Doctoral Innovation Centre (IDIC) in the University of Nottingham Ningbo and Mr. YANG Hongqing, manager of IDIC, visited ICARE to promote the PhD programme

As introduced by Prof. YANG, The University of Nottingham was founded in 1881 and was granted a Royal Charter in 1948. It’s one of the founders of Universities 21 and ranks top ten in UK, top twenty in Europe and top 100 among more than 7,500 Higher Education Institute worldwide. The University of Nottingham Ningbo China (UNNC) was the first Sino-foreign university to open its doors in China and was established in 2004. The IDIC Programme, which was set up in 2012, is targeted to educate 100 PhD researchers in six years. Research interests within this programme cover mainly Digital Economy Research and Energy Technology Research, Development and Industrialization. They will become future leaders to transform and implement technologies to address national priorities and global challenges.

Prof. YANG also introduced his own research area.
