The 2017 HUST Autumn Games ended up successfully on this Sunday. Twenty-seven ICARE students took time off their hectic schedule to participate in 11 different individual/team sports and achieved an overall ranking of 14th among twenty-four Schools (Band B).
CHEN Zhiqun won the champion in men’s 1500-meter race (Band B)
ICARE men’s 4*100 meter relay team, which composed of LIAO Wenqiang, LU Cheng, ZHOU Zhenxin, Benjamin STRUTH took third place in the competition.
Fifteen ICARE students made up a team and won the 6th place in puttee run competition.
Ten ICARE students made up a team and got the 7th place in long-rope skipping competition.
Other participants also made good performance and hand fun from the games even though they were not ranked in the Top 8.
The excellent performance of ICARE achieved in this year’s Games is the result of efforts put in by the entire team, namely the indomitable fighting of the participants, the enthusiastic support of the volunteers, the considerable preparation and reasonable arrangement of the Students’ Union members. This event made the student-teacher relationship closer strengthening the cohesion of the whole ICARE family.
