At 8:30am on September 3rd, 2018, ICARE Class 2018 opening ceremony was held in 217 Academic conference Hall in West 5 building. Prof. Luo Xiaobing ICARE Chinese dean, Mr. Yi Hui ICARE vice dean, Ms.Liu Yang director of education center, Ms.Liang Yuanyuan student adviser and other ICARE staff attended the ceremony. The ceremony was hosted by Class 2017 student Liu Yiru.

At the beginning of the ceremony, Prof. Luo Xiaobing welcomed new students with a warm speech. He introduced advantages and features of ICARE, encouraged students to develop all aspects of their ability in the three-year of graduate life, especially the ability to solve problems independently, properly handle the relationship with the supersiors and peers, and look forward to achieving better results in the three years in ICARE.

Mr. Yi Hui proposed to students requirements of “returning to the original heart, sticking to their dream”, emphasizing that ICARE students should work hard and broaden their horizons. He also encouraged ICARE students carefully plan their future and make its own contribution to China's clean energy sector.

Mr.You Cong, a representative of ICARE Class 2016 outstanding students, shared his experience in three aspects: academics, scientific research and life in ICARE. Class 2018 representative Mrs. Liang Liwen expressed her sincere enthusiasm of becoming a member of ICARE family and expectation of studying in the future.

Subsequently, Ms. Liu Yang, Ms.Liang Yuanyuan, and Mr. Li Zhitian gave a detailed explanation of academic system, training programs, and scientific research requirements of ICARE.
