On the afternoon of November 19, 2021, ICARE held an online meeting with the Oxford University Careers Service. Ms. Rachel Ruscombe-King, the Deputy Head of the Internship Office of the Careers Service, Ms. Paloma, Internship Office Assistant, Ms. Yan Wei, the Director of International Admission and Cooperation of HUST’s School of International Education, Ms. Liu Yang, the Director of the Education Center of ICARE, and Ms. Xie Chunhua, the Secretary of the Chinese Dean of ICARE attended the meeting. At the meeting, Ms. Liu Yang thanked the Oxford University Careers Service for awarding ICARE the "Gold Standard Internship Host" in 2021. Ms. Rachel said that the awarding of "Gold Standard Internship Host" not only appreciated the great efforts made by ICARE in preparing the Summer Camp activities in 2021, but also expressed the strong interest of the Careers Service in the future cooperation with HUST in the Summer Internship Programme. Subsequently, Ms. Paloma introduced the processes of the Summer Internship Programme 2022. The two sides exchanged and discussed on how to carry out the 2022 programme cooperation finally.

As the first higher education institution in Mainland China welcoming Oxford University’s students for scientific internship, ICARE Oxford International Summer Camp has gradually become a brand. Since 2013, the project has accepted 56 Oxford students. After obtaining the "Gold Standard Internship Host" for the first time in 2019, the project was awarded the "Gold Standard Internship Host" again in 2021, which has proved the international recognition of the high-level talent training quality and management level of ICARE.
