On the evening of December 21, ICARE’s Chinese supervisor, associate professor Liu Zonghao from WNLO; European supervisors Dr. Giulia LONGO from Northumbria University, associate professor Ian FORBES as the liaison between Northumbria University and ICARE, the director of Education Center from ICARE, Ms. Liu Yang and an ICARE student of Class 2020 who intends to go abroad for internship held a webinar around the short-term internship of students from ICARE to UK. This meeting was the begging of the short-term internship program in the year of 2022.

Mr. Hu Xiaodong, a master student of Class 2020, gave a 20 minute report on his scientific research and his social activities via Microsoft teams, then he answered the questions raised by interviewers and successfully passed the interview. Mr. Hu's current research topic is "Research on the performance of high-efficiency perovskite solar cells based on thin film quality control", it is expected that the topic of his internship in the UK will still be in the field of perovskite solar cells.

Ms. Liu Yang introduced the basic requirements and objectives of the internship program of ICARE, hoping through communication between European and Chinese supervisors, the consistency of the research field abroad and domestic in the short-term internship program will be further improved. Finally, the two sides discussed the future development of the short-term internship program.
