On the afternoon of August 28, 2022, the opening ceremony of Class 2022 was held in the Conference room of ICARE. The Chinese Dean, Professor Luo Xiaobing, Vice Party Secretary of the School of Energy and Power Engineering, Sun Lv, Vice Dean, Dr. Zou Ming Qing, Director of the Research Center, Hu Song, Director of the Education Center, Liu Yang, and other administrative staff attended the ceremony.

At the beginning of the ceremony, Professor Luo Xiaobing introduced the basic situation, training mode, curriculum, advantages and characteristics of ICARE in detail. He further encouraged students to quickly adapt to the learning pace of ICARE and actively participate in the overseas internship and exchange programs.

Professor Michel Farine, European Dean of ICARE, introduced the basic information of PSL, discipline construction, master's and doctoral programs, and scientific research cooperation of our foreign cooperative universities to the new students through video, and once again he extended a warm welcome to the new students.

Professor Hu Song, the representative of the excellent supervisor of ICARE, shared three points with the students: 1. hope the students will be confident and self-strengthening in the next three years; 2, do not forget the original purpose, do not want to back down because of a little course or scientific research setbacks; 3. Work together and establish a good relationship with teachers and classmates during the three-year study.

The student representatives of Grade 21, Mr. Ling Chen, shared his experiences with the new students. Finally, he wished the new students to make good use of the platform providing by ICARE, spend three years with satisfaction and enrichment, and become better themselves.

Ms. Liao Ya-yun, the representative of Grade 22, expressed her heartfelt thanks to the teachers and seniors who provided a warm welcome. She was full of expectations for the life in ICARE.
