On April 25th, 2024, Professors Pierre Neveu and Quentin Falcoz from the University of Perpignan in France took their solar energy course students to visit the National Key Laboratory of Coal Combustion and Low-Carbon Utilization. During the visit, they got to see the solar thermal system with Supercritial carbon dioxide cycling, as well as the 300 KWth S-CO2 cycling coal boiler system of the ICARE Chinese supervisors, Professors Xiang Jun and Hu Song. The students had a unique opportunity to participate in a practical course during their visit. 

Zhou Lingang, a student from the Class of 2021, and Yang Yufan, a student from the Class of 2023, both from the Institute of Clean Combustion Technology and Theory, presented the operation principle of the experimental bench, its basic parameters, and the steps to use it to the professors. Prof. Quentin gave a clear explanation using basic theories from solar energy courses and provided innovative suggestions.
