Recently, ICARE, the first major cooperative project between the Chinese and European governments in the field of engineering education, was invited by the European Union Delegation to China to participate in the "Sustainability Tour 2024" event. Initiated by the EU Delegation, this event aims to showcase the achievements of China-Europe cooperation in sustainable development and foster deeper mutual understanding of their joint efforts.

A video related to the event was released on the EU's "Keys to  Europe" Weibo account on September 17, 2024, and received widespread positive feedback. Presented from the perspective of a cycling blogger, the video offers observations and insights through social media, featuring visits to teaching and research facilities, international classrooms, graduation events, and interviews with Chinese and foreign teachers and students. It highlights ICARE’s significant contributions to training international talents in the clean energy sector, advancing higher education, science and technology, promoting cultural exchanges between China and Europe, and supporting global green transformation and sustainable development.

The "Sustainability Tour" began in 2021 and was relaunched this year. This initiative invites social media influencers, acting as cyclists, to tour various provinces in China and visit Sino-European cooperation projects focused on low-carbon sustainability. The event underscores the pragmatic and friendly cooperation between China and Europe and aims to strengthen future collaboration in these fields.
