On October 25th, the Hubei Provincial Training Conference for Sino-Foreign Cooperative Education Programs and the High-Quality Development Seminar for Sino-Foreign Cooperative Education Institutions took place at Wuhan University of Technology. The conference centered on the theme, "Advancing the Strategy of National Revitalization Through High-Quality Sino-Foreign Cooperative Education" It aimed to explore new approaches to the high-quality development of Sino-foreign cooperative education, aligned with the national strategy of scientific and educational revitalization, and to deepen educational openness with stronger initiatives and innovative measures.

ICARE’s Chinese Dean, Prof. Luo Xiaobing, was invited to attend and deliver a keynote report. Drawing from over a decade of experience in cooperative education at ICARE, Prof. Luo shared insights and reflections on internationalizing the training of outstanding engineers within the framework of national revitalization through science and education. He engaged in in-depth discussions with conference attendees on topics such as the challenges and advancements in Sino-foreign cooperative education, the development and characteristics of Sino-foreign educational programs, faculty integration and improvement, and quality assurance and monitoring for cooperative programs. Together, they examined the latest trends, challenges, and objectives for the future of Sino-foreign cooperative education.

Deputy Minister Zhou Qihong of the Hubei Provincial Department of Education and President Jiang Tao of the Hubei Provincial Association for International Educational Exchange presented certificates to nine consulting experts in Sino-foreign cooperative education. Prof. Luo Xiaobing was appointed as one of these consulting experts for Hubei Province.

The seminar, organized by the Hubei Provincial Association for International Educational Exchange and co-hosted by Wuhan University of Technology and Hubei University, aimed to foster broad communication and in-depth discussions among Sino-foreign cooperative educational institutions and projects across Hubei Province and beyond, supporting the high-quality development of cooperative education in the region. Over 120 representatives attended, including officials from the Hubei Provincial Department of Education’s foreign affairs office, the Hubei Provincial Association for International Educational Exchange, university foreign affairs offices, as well as representatives from Sino-foreign cooperative educational institutions and projects.
