On the afternoon of March 22, Ms. An Yan, Deputy Secretary-General of the China Education Association for International Exchange (CEAIE), and Ms. Liang Zi, Deputy Director of the Cross-Border Education Quality Assurance Department, visited ICARE. Attendees of the meeting included Prof. Zhou Liping, Dean of the International Education School at HUST; Ms. Jiang Jing, Deputy Director of the International Affairs Office; Dr. Zou Qingming, Vice Dean of ICARE; and Ms. Yan Wei, Director of the International Admission and Cooperation Office.

During the meeting, Deputy Secretary-General An Yan expressed her appreciation for HUST’s long-standing support of CEAIE’s work and recognized its achievements in promoting the study of European students in China and fostering strong partnerships between Chinese and European universities. As someone involved in ICARE’s early development and a witness to its growth, she praised ICARE’s active role in strengthening China-Europe relations and advancing higher education cooperation between the two regions.

Following her remarks, Prof. Zhou Liping, Ms. Jiang Jing, and Dr. Zou Qingming gave an overview of HUST’s and ICARE’s collaborations with European institutions in higher education. Both sides engaged in in-depth discussions on key topics, including current international challenges and opportunities, obstacles to deeper cooperation, the development of quality assurance mechanisms, and the joint cultivation of international talent.
