　　Introduction to the Course:

　　- general introduction: This Course provides a set of definition on energy units, primary energy and gives an overview of the energy resources.

　　- introduction to renewable energy: This Course provides an introduction to the market and perspectives of Renewable Energy. The more mature technologies will be presented indicating their present state of development and their potential.

　　Course Aims:The aims of this Course are to:

　　- general introduction:

　　· Open the students to energy sector

　　· Develop their understanding on the possible comparison between resources.

　　- introduction to renewable energy:

　　· Open the students to the renewable energy sector

　　· Develop their understanding on the possible contribution of such technologies.

　　Course Book:

　　General documents on the status and potential market of renewable energy technology will be delivered

　　Teaching Methods:

　　- general introduction:

　　The lectures will introduce the energy as such introducing the units, the primary energy vs energy production.

　　Then it will give some information on the different resources.

　　- introduction to renewable energy:

　　The lectures will introduce the energy market and the different options to fulfill the demand.

　　Then it will concentrate on the possible contribution of Renewable Energy sector

　　Finally a more detailed presentation of the most mature technologies will be delivered
