April 30th, Hubei May 1st International Labor Day & Advanced Workers General Assembly was held in Wuhan. Hubei Provincial People's Government commended 255 model worker models and 142 advanced workers. Chinese dean Professor Huang Shuhong was awarded as the "Hubei Provincial Advanced Worker."

　　Professor Huang Shuhong worked 26 years at the forefront of education with his selfless dedication. His firm political convictions and honest personality are admired by teachers and student.

　　He has extensive experience in scientific research and engineering practice in the field of thermal power equipment, solar thermal power generation, completed more than 30 national key research projects, and other major basic research projects, participated in 5 models of turbine’s design, manufacture and test work. He published more than 150 papers, compiled 6 monographs and textbooks. Has been awarded the second prize of National Science and Technology Progress Award, first prize and second prize of provincial scientific and technological progress award, first prize of provincial teaching achievement

　　He presides and participates in undergraduate curriculum planning and management actively promotes inter-college basic course reform and innovation, continuous improves teaching methods and assessment forms, improves teaching effectiveness, in which "Energy and Power Equipment Foundation" was selected as one of national quality courses.
