On April 9th, 2014, the 2nd Joint Management Committee (JMC) meeting was held in our institute to discuss the development and future of ICARE.

Chaired by Prof. Antonio VALERO, general director of CIRCE in University of Zaragoza, this meeting had the following committees, Prof. Didier MAYER, ICARE project coordinator, Prof. Robert MILES from Northumbria University, Prof. Michel FARINE, European dean of ICARE , Prof. WU Fengshun, deputy director of Education Department of HUST Graduate School, Prof. HUANG Shuhong, Chinese dean of ICARE, Prof. CHENG Xiaomin, vice dean of School of Materials Science and Engineering of Wuhan University of Technology, and Prof. HUANG Yaji, vice dean of School of Energy and Environment ofSoutheast University. Mr. JI Chen from Hubei Province Education Department and Mr. HE Gang, deputy director of HUST International Office, were present at the meeting as observers. ICARE team attended the presentation part of the meeting.

During the presentation part, Prof. HUANG Shuhong gave the Work report 2013 on the working progress and existing problems about institute with his suggestions. Then Prof. MAYER reported gave financial work the third and fourth year of ICARE. After that, the committee had a discussion on the annual work plan and curriculum adjustment of ICARE, substantive cooperation between Chinese and European experts, and some other issues about sustainability of ICARE.
