From May 13th to 16th, the 2014 Australia-China Symposium on Energy was held in Taiyuan University of Technology. More than 250 participants from 41 universities or research institutions or corporations in China, Australia, USA and UK, were present in this symposium. Personnel from national Ministry of science and technology, Australian Embassy in China, Chinese Academy of Engineering and Shanxi Science and Technology Department were present too. From ICARE side, Prof. Hu Song and other 3 staffs were also invited to take part in it.
This symposium, hosted by Australia-China Joint Research Centre for Energy and co-hosted by Curtin University in Australia, covered four subjects: clean conversion of coal, biomass energy, carbon utilization and storage, and fuel cells.
This symposium brought together the outstanding scholars and experts in the field of energy between China and Australia and provided a high level academic exchange platform for domestic and international researchers. It will add momentum to the corporation between China and Australia.
