ICARE 2014 International Summer Camp kicked off on the afternoon of July 4th. The event attracted 24 juniors and seniors from major universities such as Huazhong University of Science and Technology, Wuhan University of Technology, Central South University, Changsha University of Technology, North China Electric Power University and ect.. We even invited four international students from Oxford University to participate in the camp.

On the opening ceremony, Prof. Michel FARINE, ICARE European Co-dean and Mr. Michel AUBLANT, EU Executive Director of ICARE gave welcome speeches to all the campers, encouraged them to learn new energy technology to contribute our energy future.

After the opening ceremony, Chinese supervisors Prof. Hu Song, Yang Qin, Li Xian and had a small exchange meeting with student representatives about recruitment, talents cultivating, acceptance and other issues. To deepen the understanding of new energy subject, the institute prepared a series of experiential activities: competition of new energy housing design, visits of history museum, state key laboratory of materials science and mould technology and Wuhan new energy institute.

At the closing ceremony, campers came to make reports about summer camp successively and received certificates.
