On October 24th, the grand opening ceremony of International Conference on Power Engineering-2013 (ICOPE-2013) was held in Wuhan. Over 300 participants in Power Engineering field from China, USA, Japan, European Union, Australia, Thailand, South Africa, Nigeria, United Arab Emirates, etc., gathered here to exchange views on world energy problems.
The ICOPE-2013 was organized and sponsored by the Chinese Society of Power Engineering (CSPE), co-organized and co-sponsored by the Japanese Society of Mechanical Engineers (JSME) and the American Society of Mechanical Engineers (ASME), with the great support of the School of Energy and Power Engineering (SEPE), China-EU Institute for Clean and Renewable Energy (ICARE) and State Key Laboratory of Coal Combustion (SKLCC) from Huazhong University of Science and Technology (HUST) for local organization. Prof. LI Peigen, President of HUST and member of the Chinese Academy of Engineering (CAE), Prof. CEN Kefa from Zhejiang University, member of the CAE, Mr. George Saxon, Chairman of Power Engineering Branch of ASME, Mr. Jun Inumaru, Chairman of Power Engineering Branch of JSME, and all members of CSPE participated in the ceremony.
