From October 28th to31st 2013, the 4th advanced training course on solar PV power plant and grid technology was held in our institute. This session was completed by trainers from Europe and China, namely Mr. Marc NIELL, PV Project chief designer of France TRANSENERGIE New Energy, Mr. LV Zhengliang, deputy director of the R&D Department in solar energy of NARI, a company of China State Grid, Mr. QIU Zhuxian, chief engineer of Wuhan Rixin Technology Group, LU Sheng, deputy chief engineer of Hubei Electric Power Survey and Design Institute New Energy group. The trainees came from Gansu Electric Power Company, Hubei Electric Power survey and Design Institute, The Yangtze River Vocational and Technical College, Wuhan Rixin Technology Group, Zhuzhou South Valve co., LTD.

During the training, Mr. Marc NIELL presented his knowledge of the developing situation of PV industry in Europe, PV power station technology and building integrated photovoltaic, PV system performance evaluation and optimization, the use of design software PVSYST, grid technologies and application procedures. He shared his experience of grid-connection and off-grid type ground power station, and also experience of distributed generation and hybrid power system in Europe.

After-Class discussion hosted by Mr. Qiu Zhuxian, Pr. Li Bin, director of ICARE Continuing Center, Mr. Lv Zhengliang and Mr. Lu Sheng was of particular interest at this session hosted by Mr. Qiu Zhuxian, Pr. Li Bin, director of ICARE Continuing Center, Mr. Lv Zhengliang and Mr. Lu Sheng.. The involvement of Chinese trainers enabled to have in depth understanding of the Chinese context and provided an interaction platform for EU and China peers.
