On March 15, 2013, the first ICARE Joint Managerial Committee (JMC) Meeting was held in ICARE institute. Chaired by Prof. LIU Jinsong, director of training department of graduate school, HUST, this meeting had the following committees, namely Prof. Antonio Valero, from Zaragoza University, Prof. Danae Diakoulaki, National Technical University of Athens, Prof. CHENG Xiaomen, Wuhan University of Technology and Prof. HUANG Yaji, Southeast University from some partner universities and Prof. Didier Mayer, project coordinator, Prof. Michel Farine, ICARE European dean, and Prof. HUANG Shuhong, ICARE Chinese dean. Mrs. Jady WANG, project officer of EU Delegation to China and Mr. HE Gang, deputy director of International Exchange office, HUST also attended the meeting as observers. ICARE team attended the presentation part of the JMC.

ICARE JMC is set up to supervise the institute operation in terms of annual work plans and development plans. It will examine and approve the annual budget and supervise its implementation as well as the financial accounting. In this first JMC meeting, Prof. HUANG Shuhong and Prof. Michel FARINE made work reports, and Prof. Didier MAYER made a report of financial work. The committees conducted discussion of each report and gave some suggestions to the institute development.
