On April 9-11, our institute organized the 2nd advanced solar PV technology training course, which was combined the European trainer with Chinese trainers. Mr. Remi MOSCATO, senior trainer of TRANSENRGIE New Energy Training Center was invited as the European trainer. Extended special invitations were given to Mr. SHI Wei, designer and PV Project Director of Central Southern China Electric Power Design Institute, and Mr. QIU Zhuxian, Chief Engineer of Wuhan Rixin Technology Group as Chinese trainers. Both of them are well-known experts in solar PV field. The 16 trainees were middle and high management staffs and technology researchers from 9 companies*.

At present, along with the release of new policies on promoting the development of solar energy industry, the PV modules and power generation system cost reduce continuously. The domestic solar PV applications market is ushering a new round of development opportunity. However, there is a domestic lack of operational and technical course on solar power generation system design and installation. Hereby ICARE built a platform with advanced PV technology training courses, by inviting foreign expert from the cutting-edge European PV industry and introducing their training experience. At the same time, ICARE invited domestic senior experts to interpret the development situation in China, in order to promote technological progress of PV industry.

During the training, Mr. MOSCATO introduced the PV industry development status in Europe, including the solar energy resources, solar power generation forecast, PV power plant technology and BIPV, etc. European PV project management and development experience were also talked by Mr. MOSCATO and inspired the students. Mr. SHI Wei made detailed analysis and interpretation of Chinese current solar PV system policies and development trends. With specific case he also explained China PV project design and insta-llation standards. Mr. QIU Zhuxian introduced the largest building rooftop PV projects and other PV projects which were installed and operated by his company.

In the evening of April 10, our vocational training center organized a meeting among the trainees and senior leaders from Guangdong Yuedian Power Group Solar, Wuhan Rixin Technology Group, New energy engineering company of Central Southern China Electric Power Design Institute, Hubei Electric Power Su-rvey and Design Institute, Hubei Hongyuan PV Engineering Company, Wuhan AOV Energy Technology Co., Ltd, Space technology applications division of the China Aerospace Science and Technology Group, and so on. As a guest, Ms. SUN Danping, member of the National Committee of the CPPCC, GM of Guangdong Electric Power Development Company and GM of Solar Company of GuangdongYuedian Group also presented the seminar. The discussion went friendly around China and EU solar PV policy status and development trend.

A survey after the training indicates that this training session is quite well organized. Combination case study with knowledge delivery enlightened the trainees and enhanced their confidence of seizing the opportunity of national policy to occupy the solar PV market.
