SNEC (2013) PV Power Expo, the 7th International Photovoltaic Power Generation Conference & Exhibition took place from May 14 to 16, 2013 at Shanghai New International Expo Center. As professional PV exhibition and the biggest international PV tradeshow in China, SNEC attracted about 1,500 exhibitors from China and around the world, showcasing PV manufacturing facilities, materials, PV cells, PV application products & modules, and projects and systems, covering every section of the whole PV industrial chain.

ICARE participated in this grand exhibition as the unique Sino-European education institute. With elaborate panels, leaflets and fliers, many visitors, including some visitors from well-known companies such as Jonnon Group, Zhongke Energy, TüV Rheinland Group, China Huadian Corporation, FiberHome Technologies Group, etc. stopped by our booth for consultation.

On the one hand, executive education on solar PV technology was promoted widely. Most visitors hoped to be contacted with more detailed information. Some also gave indications of market needs, then very useful information for ICARE to design more specific training sessions. Several visitors from enterprise R&D department or research institute intended to establish contact and cooperation with ICARE.

On the other hand, ICARE double master programme raised interest from many engineers, technicians and managers. They showed interest to complete master education at ICARE. What’s more, a senior manager from China Huadian Corporation expressed his willing to recruit ICARE graduates.

It is the first time for ICARE to appear in this kind of international exhibition state. Definitely it is a good way to promote our institute and to collect more information about this fast growing renewable energy sector in the world.
