On May 18th to 19th, the National New Energy Science and Engineering (NESE) Building Seminar was held at the North China Electric Power University (NCEPU). Prof. HU Song, Director of ICARE Research platform and Mrs. LIU Yang, Director of Education Centre and Dr. YANG Qing from the School of Energy and Power Engineering (SEPE) attended the seminar, and exchanged with attendees from more than 20 universities, such as Zhejiang University, Central South University, etc. Several companies and media also participated in the seminar.

XU Jinliang, Professor and Dean of School of Renewable Energy in NCEPU, addressed a speech to this seminar. YIN Weilun, Professor and Academician of Chinese Academy of Engineering, former president of Beijing Forestry University, and also a famous forester & biologist, gave a presentation of the achievements in biomass research from a point of view of agriculture and biology. Then, the participants from NCEPU, Zhejiang University, HUST, Fujian Normal University, Northeast Agricultural University, University of Jinan, etc, introduced the design of curricula in new energy of each school respectively. Dr. YANG Qing were invited to give introduction of the New Energy Science and Engineering specialty, which is also the Chinese master degree conferred to qualified ICARE graduates, in HUST.

Training model, teaching materials, setting up league, etc. were discussed as well. The participants then visited the National Engineering Laboratory of Biomass power generation equipment and the Wind Tunnel Laboratory in NCEPU.
