At 9:30 am today, the 2012-2013 New Semester Opening Ceremony of our institute was ceremoniously held in the lecture theater 217 of the West Building No. 5.

The ceremony was presided over by Liu Yang, director of Educational Administration Center. Firstly, Liu Yang warmly welcomed new students on behalf of Chinese faculty of the Institute. Then, European Dean Professor Michel Farine welcomed 2012 new students on behalf of EU and delivered an enthusiastic and humorous brief speech. Next, Yi Hui, Chinese executive director of our institute, introduced the development history, current situation, objectives and missions, etc. of China-EU Institute for Clean and Renewable Energy in details and sent words to 2012 new students, elaborating on expectation for new students’ future study and life in the following 3 years.

Tang Jian, an outstanding student of the Institute, and Xiong Xuan, the representative of 2012 new students, have respectively made a speech in native English.

At last, the ceremony ended with delightful activity of taking group photo.
