On October 16 to 18, Mr. Nicolas Bardi, Head of the Biomass & Hydrogen Technologies Department at CEA (French Alternative Energies and Atomic Energy Commission)visited our institute.

In the afternoon of October 16, ICARE managerial team hosted the welcome meeting in room 210, ICARE building.

On October 17, an academic exchange with Chinese professors was organized for Mr. Bardi in the morning. Prof Huang Shuhong, Prof. Hu Song, Mrs. Liu Yang and several students also attended the seminar. In the afternoon, Mr. Bardi visited the laboratory of School of Materials, together with Mr. Marc Bondiou, mthe scientific attaché of French General Consulate in Wuhan. Both two visitors showed

strong interest in the equipments, fuel cells, the cooperation, industrialization, etc.

In the evening of October 17, Mr. Bardi delivered conference with the topic “Biomass and Hydrogen: the path to sustainable fuels”, which is the main purpose of Mr. Bardi’s travel to ICARE. The conference was organized and hosted by ICARE student. The feedback proves that it a big success and it will be reutilized in future. Mr Marc Bondiou, as well as all ICARE managerial staffs also participated in the conference.
