On the morning of October 27th, the university’s international construction conference was held in the Mingde Lecture Hall of Wutongyu Education Center. Academician Shao Xinyu, chairman of HUST’s party committee, presided over the meeting. President Li Yuanyuan gave a report on the conference, and Vice President Chen Jianguo gave a special report on the university’s international construction. More than 200 people, including the leaders of department party branch, the heads of the functional departments and schools attended the meeting.

At the meeting, as a typical representative of the excellent examples of the university’s international exchange and cooperation, Professor Luo Xiaobing, the Chinese Dean of the China-EU Institute for Clean and Renewable Energy Institute, made a report on the international construction work of the institute.

This international construction conference is the most important and highest-level international exchange and cooperation development conference held by the university in the recent years. It reflects the university attaches great importance to international construction in face of the current international situation and historical opportunities. The institute will conform to the university's development goals and internationalization strategy, combined with its own characteristics to effectively promote the high-quality connotative development of international cooperation.
