From October 17 to 19, 2021, the 8th Conference of the Association of Chinese-Foreign Cooperation was held in Southwest Jiaotong University. Dr. Chen Jie, Director of HUST’s Office of International Affairs, Ms.Wan Tian, Manager of the European Affairs Division, and Ms. Liu Yang, Director of the Education Center of our Institute were invited to attend the meeting. With the theme of "Chinese-foreign Cooperation in Running Schools in the Post Epidemic Era: New Challenges, New Opportunities and New Actions", the conference invited the main leaders of the Department of International Cooperation and Exchange of the Ministry of education to participate in lectures and interactive exchange, and attracted nearly 300 experts and scholars from Chinese-foreign cooperation in running schools and managers of educational administrative departments and educational institutions from all over the country.
Dr.Chen Jie made a parallel report entitled "Leading the High-quality Development of Chinese-foreign Cooperative Education with a New Development Pattern". By analyzing the opportunities and challenges faced by Chinese-foreign cooperative education and combined with the school running practice of ICARE, Dr. Chen Jie proposed that in order to realize the high-quality development of Chinese-foreign cooperative education under the new development pattern, we need to effectively improve understanding and do a good job in top-level design, realize the organic integration and innovation of Chinese- foreign education models, give full play to the leading and exemplary role of high-level cooperative schools, and inject power into the reform and development of local education and the construction of "Double First-Class".
