On the afternoon of July 15, 2022, Mr. Hu Jun, Deputy Director of Wuhan Science and Technology Bureau, Mr. Hu Yuan, Director of High-tech Department, Ms. Zheng Hui, Deputy Director of Agricultural Cooperatives Department, Mr. Wang Geng, Director of High-tech Department, and Li Ming, Achievement transformation liaison of HUST, visited ICARE. Professor Luo Xiaobing, the Chinese Dean, Dr. Zou Ming Qing, the Vice Dean, Mr. Zhao Yongchun, Deputy Director of the State Key Laboratory of Coal Combustion, and Professor Hu Song, Director of the Research Center attended the symposium.

Mr. Hu Jun introduced the scientific research funds of the Municipal Science and Technology Bureau, and put forward some ideas on the development planning and layout of the "Double Carbon" field in Wuhan.

Professor Luo Xiaobing introduced the significance of carbon neutralization and further explained power generation types and electricity generation ratio by combining the current energy structure and the installed capacity of various energy sources. Based on the guiding ideology of "focus on national conditions, first establishment and then destruction", Professor Luo analyzed the path and feasibility of achieving carbon neutrality.

The two sides had in-depth exchanges and discussions on transformation of scientific and technological achievements, the development of carbon neutral industries and future cooperation to help realize the national "Double Carbon" strategic goal at an early date.
