I was honored to get the opportunity to study in France under the 6+6 program of ICARE, which enabled me and five other students to study at the world's top university, PSL. It has been more than a month since I landed in Paris on September 3rd. My study and life have been on the right track, and I have gradually adapted to the inevitable loneliness overseas. Looking back on the experience of more than a month, there is much to share.
Accommodation in Paris is really expensive, so we all chose to live in the suburb. Although it is a suburb, in fact as long as in the whole Paris region, public transport is rather convenient. It soon became a regular part of our lives that we crowded the subway every day. Compared with China, the metro in Paris is old. Except for the metro, Paris has a very comfortable urban railway system too.
Walking through the streets of Paris, one is often surprised by the artistic atmosphere of the city. The most common is graffiti, both elaborate and random, all over streets and outside buildings. In addition, various museums can be found all over the city, such as the well-known Louvre, the Rodin Museum, and the Orsay Museum.
After being taught in English for the whole year at ICARE, I soon got used to the rhythm of classes. The course here does not pay much attention to the exam, but mainly involves completing the project through group cooperation, so there will be many opportunities for international students to communicate and cooperate.
Finally, I would like to thank ICARE again for providing this valuable opportunity to exchange abroad. Over the next 10 months, I look forward to more wonderful experiences.
