From March 27 to March 28, Prof. Luo Xiaobing, the Chinese Dean of ICARE, and Prof. Michel Farine, the European dean of ICARE, accompanied Prof. Chen Jianguo, the Vice President of HUST, to visit Mines Paris and Paris-Saclay University, and discuss with representatives of the two schools the new vision of cooperation and seek new ways of exchange. Dr. Zheng Jing, Director of the General Office, and Ms. Xie Chunhua, Secretary of the Chinese Dean, accompanied the visit.

On March 27, the delegation held talks with the heads of international affairs and postgraduate education at Mines Paris. Prof. Luo Xiaobing introduced ICARE from the aspects of history, educational achievements and future planning. The two sides had in-depth exchanges and reached a certain consensus on innovating the development mode, optimizing the governance system, enriching the channels for student exchange, and strengthening the interaction and cooperation with the industry.

On March 28, the delegation met with the Vice President of Foreign Affairs of the  Paris-Saclay University. In the matching meeting, Prof. Luo Xiaobing introduced the development of ICARE and put forward the cooperation initiative to promote substantive cooperation between the two sides. Afterward, Prof. Luo Xiaobing and other participants had an in-depth discussion on future cooperation.

This visit to partner institutions in France is highly in line with the spirit of the recently issued Joint Declaration between the Chinese and the French government on the resumption of people-to-people exchanges and is of great significance for promoting high-level Sino-foreign cooperation in running schools.
