From May 27 to 28, 2023, Ms. Wang Luyao, Mr. Li Ruochen and Mr. Long Xiangtao, students of ICARE and members of the Global Governance and Sustainable Development Association of the Huazhong University of Science and Technology, participated in the first "International International Competency Youth Training Camp" of Wuhan University and were awarded the certificate of Wuhan University for their outstanding achievements.

More than 120 young students from universities in Wuhan and other regions gathered at the library of Wuhan University to discuss the theme of global development and the power of youth. The opening ceremony was presided over by Mr. Qu Wenqian, deputy secretary of the Party Committee of Wuhan University, Huang Taiyan, Secretary of the Party Committee of Wuhan University, Mr. Zhang Ning, Chairman of the International Skills Development Committee of the Chinese Society of Education Development Strategy, Mr. He Changchui and Mr. Song Yunfu, deputy directors of the Academic Committee, Mr. Zhou Gengsheng, Professor Huang Jiefang of the Wuhan University made speeches at the ceremony.

The main content of the training camp includes expert lectures, group discussion and exchange, internship sharing in international organizations, Model United Nations conference, etc. After the training camp, the participants said that they had benefited a lot. Mr. Long Xiangtao, a member of the Global Governance and Sustainable Development Association of Huazhong University of Science and Technology, spoke about his feelings about attending the training camp: “It is my great honor to participate in the first International Competency Training Camp of Wuhan University. It is a very meaningful and rewarding learning experience. The sharing of experts and interns allowed me to have a deeper understanding of international organizations, and the communication and cooperation with students from different universities and majors allowed me to gain friendships and knowledge.
