ICARE held themed activity "Dragon Boat Festival carrying summer friendship" on June 30 in the Clean Energy Building S309. A total of 30 teachers, students of HUST and 11 campers from the Oxford Summer Camp participated in the activity.

PART 1 Games

In the ice-breaking activity, all students sit in a circle and learn the game rules of "passing flowers by beating drums" by Passing pens with music, when music stops, participants with pens in hand will need to answer a question posed by the others.

PART 2 Introducing the Dragon Boat Festival

Starting with a poem by Su Shi “Huanxisha · Dragon Boat Festival", the host introduced the origin and cultural customs of the Dragon Boat Festival through a video.

PART 3 Making Zongzi

After explaining the method of making Zongzi, students were divided into 5 groups to help each other finish making Zongzi.

PART 4 Knitting multicolored rope

In the process of waiting for the cooking of Zongzi, students selected their favorite colored ropes and began to knit traditional Chinese knots.

With the sweet taste of Zongzi, the activity came to an end with the laughter of the students. All the teachers and students who participated in this activity took a group photo together.
