On June 26, a ceremony was held to inaugurate the student internship and practice base of State Grid Electric Power Research Institute Wuhan Efficiency Evaluation Company ( Efficiency Evaluation Company, EEC) and ICARE, and the two sides signed a MOU. Mr. Wang Yu, executive director and general manager, Mr. Xu Chaoyang, deputy general manager of EEC, and Dr. Zou Mingqing, vice Dean of ICARE, attended the opening ceremony.
First, Mr. Wang Yu welcomed the arrival of teachers and students. Then he briefly introduced the history, structure, team building and future development goals of EEC. He said that this cooperation is a strong combination and complementary advantages of university and enterprise, and it is also a new step for EEC to move towards school-enterprise cooperation. EEC will establish and improve the new mechanism of internship practice, comprehensively improve the quality of internships, and cultivate students' practical and innovative abilities. He hoped that through in-depth cooperation in internships, practical training and integration of science and education, both schools and enterprises would bear fruit future.
Dr. Zou Mingqing expressed his sincere gratitude to EEC. He said that based on the advantages of HUST, ICARE brings together the top scientific research resources of China and Europe, draws on and carries forward the enterprise partner system of French engineer training, introduces high-quality resources of China-Europe universities for local enterprises through school-enterprise cooperation, promotes project docking and joint R&D, and provides "order-based” services. He emphasized that the signing of this student internship practice base is the prelude to deeper and more comprehensive cooperation between the two sides.
Mr. Zhang Tianpeng and Ms. Jiang Xiaoxue, two ICARE alumnus, shared their own study and work experiences in internship practice.
Mr. Wang Yu and Dr. Zou Mingqing jointly inaugurated the "ICARE Student Internship and Practice Base".
Afterward, both sides visited the "Energy Efficiency Future Exhibition Hall" and conducted in-depth exchanges on talent training and scientific research cooperation.
According to the work arrangement, the postgraduates participating in this internship will be deeply involved in the practical training of EEC in the next two months, and the two sides will further exert their respective advantages, focus on the combination of science and engineering practice, strengthen the cultivation of students' practical innovation ability, and promote the deep integration of talent education.
