The Mid-Autumn Festival is a traditional celebration in China. To help students connect with their culture and feel at home, ICARE organized a clay-making competition on September 28th. This fun and creative event brought teachers and students together and created a festive atmosphere, making it an unforgettable Mid-Autumn Festival.
At the start of the activity, Ms. Lu Qiuyan introduced the origin of the festival and demonstrated clay-making techniques. Participants were enthusiastic in creating clay works with Mid-Autumn Festival themes. Some made traditional moon cakes and rabbits, while others created their own unique Mid-Autumn Festival images such as stars, lanterns and family reunion scenes. Each work exhibited creativity and captured the personality of the students.
The most creative works were selected by voting and awards were given to the corresponding students. This clay-making activity not only provided an opportunity for students to celebrate the festival but also stimulated their creativity and enhanced their teamwork skills.
