Between November 23 and 27, 2022, the 13th Asia-Pacific Mathematical Contest in Modelling for College Students was held successfully, attracting nearly 10,000 teams and 30,000 students. Among them, Mr. Chen Zeyi, Mr. Ding Yizhou, and Mr. Zhang Fushen from the ICARE team participated in the contest and won the national third prize. Using program design, the team extracted temperature data and conducted graphic modelling analysis of the crystallizer's melting crystallization process sequence image.
Additionally, three students from the same team participated in the Mathematical Contest In Modelling held between February 17 and 21, 2023. This contest is an internationally recognized competition in the field of mathematical modelling, co-sponsored by the American Nature Foundation and the American Association for Mathematical Application. Since 1985, the Mathematical Contest In Modelling has been held successfully for 38 sessions, and it has a significant international influence. The team received an Honourable Mention for completing a four-day all-English report titled "The Impact of Artificial Light Pollution: A Call to Action."
