Inma Arauzo, visiting professor at ICARE, was selected to participate in the awareness campaign "I am a scientist. I live in your neighbourhood" in its 2023 edition. On the occasion of the International Day of Women and Girls in Science, February 11, this initiative aimed to reflect the proximity and closeness to women in science as actual reference. It also served the purpose of breaking stereotypes that present females scientists as heroines, geeks or having no social life, as this can also discourage teenager girls from their possible scientific vocation.

For this purpose each year the Department of Scientific Culture of the University of Zaragoza invites 11 female scientists to show their image in the streets of Zaragoza and participate in communication events in diverse media and forums.
