"In response to the dual pressures of global climate change and the energy crisis, China has been steadfastly pursuing the strategic goal of "Carbon Peaking and Carbon Neutrality." Intelligent zero-carbon parks have emerged as crucial vehicles for achieving this goal, attracting attention both domestically and internationally. To deepen students' comprehension of intelligent zero-carbon parks and provide them with valuable practical experience, ICARE organized an industry-sharing lecture titled "Intelligent Zero-Carbon Park Construction Solutions and Typical Cases" on May 11, 2024. The event took place in conference room N102 of the Clean Energy Building, to collectively explore the future of green energy."

Information about the Lecturer:

Wu Kaibin is a senior and nationally registered public utility engineer specializing in power. He also serves as a consulting engineer for investment and is the manager of the Comprehensive Energy Department at the National Grid Electric Power Research Institute's Energy Efficiency Evaluation Co., Ltd. Additionally, he is an enterprise mentor at ICARE, a member of the IEEE PCCC Subcommittee on Integrated Smart Energy, and an invited editor of the Collection of Hundred Practical Cases of Integrated Energy Services. His primary research focuses on comprehensive energy businesses such as smart buildings, smart parks, new load management, and building energy optimization. Wu Kaibin has successfully led and completed projects such as the Xiong'an Innovation Center Smart Low-Carbon Park, presided over more than 10 scientific and technological projects for the State Grid Corporation, published 6 monographs, and over 20 EI or Chinese core papers related to his research. He has also participated in numerous high-end forums and summits on integrated energy as a guest and has received numerous provincial and ministerial awards and invention patent authorizations.

During the lecture, Wu Kaibin discussed the technical solutions and typical cases of intelligent zero-carbon parks, focusing on China’s strategic goal of "Carbon peaking and Carbon neutrality." He shared the demonstrative experience of the State Grid's new power system park-level construction and analyzed the significant advantages of intelligent zero-carbon parks in terms of clean and efficient energy, distributed interconnection, and intelligent management. He also elaborated on specific strategies for achieving clean energy supply, optimizing consumption structure, and reducing costs through the energy internet.

Engineer Wu Kaibin, with his extensive experience and professional knowledge, patiently and thoroughly answered each question, shared his insights and experiences, and provided professional advice during the interactive session. The students raised in-depth questions and discussions on potential issues, challenges, and coping strategies encountered in the construction of intelligent zero-carbon parks.

This industry lecture not only enhanced students' understanding and knowledge of intelligent zero-carbon parks but also inspired their boundless aspirations for the field of clean energy. It encouraged them to contribute more to China's green development and jointly create a sustainable energy future.
