On May 17th, 2024, ICARE organized a job-hunting experience-sharing session for 2025 graduates to promote their employment and ensure access to high-quality job opportunities. The event took place in Classroom S413 of the Clean Energy Building and targeted key enterprises. Nearly 50 students from the School of Energy and ICARE participated in this event.

Zhang Peize, who received 11 job offers, gave a detailed presentation covering every important step in the job-hunting process, from submitting a resume to interview techniques and offer selection. His presentation was informative and practical, offering valuable references for fellow students.

Yang Yixiong shared his experience and insights in applying for state-owned and central state-owned enterprises. He emphasized the importance of leveraging resources such as a European degree and offline promotional events. He reminded his fellow students to focus on expanding and utilizing information channels. Yao Yue shared his experience in applying to companies like Huawei from the perspective of internal referrals and early-batch recruitment. He emphasized the significance of internships in job hunting and encouraged fellow students to challenge themselves and gain experience in the work environment and corporate culture through internships.

Wang Jiao highlighted the importance of information channels, emphasizing the value of finding a job-hunting partner, preferably from the same research group. As their research directions are similar, their job-hunting needs are also alike, which is a time-saving approach. The last speaker, Jiang Xiaoxue, shared the lessons she learned from interviews, emphasizing that every interview is an asset, regardless of success or failure, from which we can draw experience.

The presentations from these five alumni were full of valuable content and offered unique perspectives, earning applause from the audience. During the question-and-answer session, students actively asked questions and sought advice from the alumni on various aspects of job hunting. The alumni patiently answered and provided many valuable suggestions and guidance.

The alumni job-hunting experience-sharing session is an important activity of ICARE's employment guidance work. It aims to provide students with comprehensive and practical employment guidance and career planning advice. In the future, ICARE will continue to organize similar activities to offer more support and assistance for students' career development.
