On June 8, 2024, alumni from the classes of 2019 and 2020 were invited by the ICARE Alumni Council to gather at Huazhong University of Science and Technology during the Dragon Boat Festival. The alumni, who had fond memories of their alma mater, came from all over the country to revisit the new ICARE building, reminisce about their energy-related experiences, and share their cherished memories of the past.

The alumni strolled around the campus, passing by the South Gate, the library, and the West playground, and visiting the new institute building. They reminisced about their youth, sharing stories of their growth and development. Despite the passage of time, the beautiful scenery of their alma mater remains unchanged, and the warmth and familiarity in their hearts never fade.

The Alumni Council organized the alumni to make perfume sachets together to promote the excellent traditional culture of the Dragon Boat Festival. They crafted sachets with different materials, each offering various benefits such as mosquito repellent, sleep aid, and refreshment.

After that, the alumni visited the cultural wall of ICARE and the "Energy Cafe," where they enjoyed delicious Dragon Boat Festival rice dumplings and coffee from Lincang, Yunnan Province.

This event marked the first official alumni return event organized by the ICARE Alumni Council since its establishment. Through this event, the alumni deepened their affection for their alma mater and the institute, and enhanced communication and unity among themselves. The Alumni Council will seize this opportunity to build a communication bridge for alumni cooperation and connection, and to launch a series of "Return to Alma Mater" activities.
