On the morning of October 10th, a delegation from Huazhong University of Science and Technology's (HUST) School of Computer Science and Technology and China-EU Institute for Clean and Renewable Energy, led by Party Secretary Yi Hui and Zou Mingqing, Vice Dean of ICARE, visited the Sino-British College (SBC) at the University of Shanghai for Science and Technology (USST) for an exchange on Sino-foreign cooperative education. Li Yan, Secretary of the Party Committee of SBC, along with the Vice Dean Shan Yanguang and department heads, participated in the discussions.
Li Yan warmly welcomed the delegation and provided an overview of the college’s history, educational approach, academic achievements, and governance at the USST Fuxing Road campus. She emphasized that since its establishment in 2006, the Sino-British College has actively promoted international cooperation and faculty-student exchanges between institutions in China and the UK. The college has become a model for Sino-foreign cooperative education, serving as a key platform for international exchanges and collaboration. Vice Dean Shan Yanguang further detailed the college’s development, program structure, enrollment strategies, and educational accomplishments, highlighting recent innovations in talent cultivation, international accreditation, faculty development, and independent enrollment reforms.

They briefly introduced their respective schools' history, academic strengths, faculty expertise, talent development strategies, and international collaborations. They emphasized their desire for the visit to enhance cooperation and knowledge-sharing between Sino-foreign institutions, leveraging each other's advanced educational practices and management models to jointly promote the high-quality development of cooperative programs.
The discussions also explored high-level project collaborations, party-building initiatives in Sino-foreign cooperative education, faculty development, innovative talent cultivation models, educational reforms, international accreditation, and quality assurance systems. Following the meeting, the delegation toured the college’s history museum and library on the Fuxing Road campus.
