In the vibrant October atmosphere, ICARE organized an innovative cycling event at Yujia Lake to foster cultural connections with our foreign faculty and promote cross-cultural exchange. This event offered foreign teachers a chance to experience the lush scenery of HUST’s "back garden" and enjoy the campus's academic spirit and youthful energy.
On a crisp autumn morning, foreign teachers gathered on the HUST campus to begin their cycling journey. Yujia Lake, known as HUST’s "back garden," is celebrated for its crystal-clear waters and surrounding greenery, making it a treasured landmark in the heart of Wuhan. During the ride, participants covered approximately 15 kilometers along scenic routes, exploring views of the lake, wetlands, gardens, and bridges, all while soaking in the beauty of nature. They also encountered local cycling enthusiasts, engaging in friendly exchanges and learning about the customs and culture of Wuhan.
The event offered foreign faculty a way to embrace a healthy lifestyle on campus while gaining a deeper understanding of Wuhan’s culture. Cycling through Wuhan’s natural landscape allowed them to feel the city’s vitality and charm firsthand. Using shared e-bikes and bicycles as a sustainable mode of transport highlighted the benefits of eco-friendly travel, echoing our institute's commitment to "green energy education driving a zero-carbon future."
Through activities like these, ICARE helps foreign teachers integrate into the community while enriching multicultural exchange on campus. The institute is committed to advancing international cultural exchange, providing faculty and students opportunities to appreciate diverse cultures through engaging events. This cycling event marks an essential part of ICARE’s cultural development initiative, with more diverse cultural exchange activities planned for the future.
